why can she smell blood? It never did get explained!!!!

in breaking dawn they discovered that the reason that no one can mess with her in her mind is because she had a shield and she thinks that she was truly meant to become a vampire because she is good at almost everything whereas when she was human she tripped everywhere and she felt that she wasn't good at anything....she can resist human blood and she doesn't loose control like jasper expected her to in the beginning....so maybe that's why....she was supposed to be change into a vampire and she was just given that extra sense just like her shield
