Gaping Hole:
Love burning inside.
A fiery hole that he left behind.
"I don't love you anymore."
Her tears fall to the floor.
"You're not right for me."
Eyes blurring 'til she can't see.
Left lying on the forest floor.
Gaping hole hidden no more.
Rescued, bundled up, taken home.
But he's left her - gone to roam.
"He's gone." Thinking aloud
Suffocating crowd.
They leave and she cries
Unable to forget his topaz eyes.
Screaming into the empty night
It will never again be alright.
Won't eat for months on end
Starts to neglect all of her friends
Won't drink.
Won't eat.
She's empty...just incomplete.
She moves on back to her life
Tries to pretend that she's alright
But they look into her eyes and see the glazed look.
See the reflection of all that he took.
He left her and she fell apart
Left a gaping hole - where is her heart?
Holding her arms tight around her
Holding herself together
She's falling apart piece by piece
When he left all happiness ceased.
Empty inside.
Just a gaping hole.
Broken and torn apart.
Nothing left of her fragile heart.
"You loving me never made sense."
Offered in her defence.
She's being stupid and reckless
Just to hear his voice in her head
Reckless? Maybe the wrong word.
She's a wreck inside.
She's got no-where to hide
She hides in plain sight
And cries and screams out in the night.
He's gone and no-one can compare
So she ends up speaking to thin air.
Did he really care?
"It'll be like I never existed."
He's wrong - his lies are twisted.
Taken away everything of his.
But she's still got no way to live.
Gaping hole burning and smarting
All cos he told her, that he was departing.
